Hi Allyssa,

No, you should use the same citation for the source each time, since it’s always meant to point the reader to the same reference entry.

I would like to ask how to write the references of the one source even though you used it multiple times in the write-ups. Is it like (Adam, 2021a) then (Adam, 2021b) and so on?

Hi Engela,

Multiple citations that appear in the same set of parentheses are arranged alphabetically.

Thanks!

Hi Francis,

Yes, footnotes and endnotes are allowed, but they’re not used for citations in APA Style. You can read more about what they’re used for and how to format them here.

Hi Francis,

No, you should usually copy the URL directly from your browser or from wherever a stable URL is provided, therefore including the “https://”

Hi Stephanie,

APA’s guidance in your case states that you should not use et al., but instead list all three authors for each of the sources in your citations of them, to avoid ambiguity.

Using Name1 et al., year would not help differentiate them, but I’m not sure using a and b afterwards is correct if the other authors are not the same. How do I distinguish them in the text?
