Hi Kua,

In that situation, you could write something like “Figure my own; data adapted from . . .” and then provide a citation of the journal article you took the information from. Then you’d include that journal article in your reference list.

Hi Angela,

If you’ve made the table yourself, but using data from other sources, it’s best to acknowledge this in a general note below the table, as described here. So you could write something like:

Note. The table is my own; the data was adapted from [source citation(s)].

Then whatever source(s) you mention here should also appear in your reference list at the end of your paper.
